David Bass, M.D., is a fellowship trained, board-eligible neurosurgeon with subspecialty training in open cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery. He earned his medical degree at Emory University where he also obtained his PhD in neuroscience, investigating the electrophysiological mechanisms of memory formation. He went on to complete his residency in neurological surgery at the University of Washington and his fellowship in interventional neurosurgery and open cerebrovascular surgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
Throughout his training, Dr. Bass gained extensive experience in the surgical management of neurological disorders, including intrinsic brain tumors, skull base tumors, aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, cavernous malformations, trigeminal neuralgia, trauma, and hydrocephalus. He also increased his microsurgical and endovascular expertise in the management of blood vessel diseases affecting the brain, neck, and spine, including aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, large and medium vessel occlusions, carotid stenosis, chronic subdural hematomas (middle meningeal artery embolization), tumors (embolization), and transverse sinus stenosis.
In his spare time, Dr. Bass enjoys traveling, hiking and skiing.
